Wellington Polo News: Audi Wins Eastern Challenge Cup
Audi (Marc Ganzi, Roberto Gonzalez, Kris Kampsen and Rupert Lewis) won the Eastern Challenge Cup over Flight Options (Melissa Ganzi, Guille Aguero, Juan Bollini and Mark Cann) on May 11 at Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington, Florida.
In the first chukker, only Flight Options made it to the scoreboard, 2-0. Then both teams scored two goals in the second chukker, 4-2. The first half has ended with Audi tying the scores into 4-4.
In the fourth chukker, the combo of Marc Ganzi and Kampsen made Audi take its first lead of the game over Flight Options, 6-4.
Flight Options took the lead back in the fifth chukker. One goal from Bollini and two from Aguero ended the chukker to 7-6.
The last chukker, was a tough match between the two teams as Audi tied the scores to 7 all. Marc Ganzi added two for Audi, 9-7. Bollini tried to win the championship but another goals from Marc Ganzi and Gonzalez made Audi to celebrate the win over Flight Options.
Roberto Gonzalez was named as the MVP while Aguero’s Yahoo received the BPP honors.
While in the consolation final of the Eastern Challenge Cup, Palm Beach Polo defeated Casablanca in a 11-10 scores.
